Overview

ESPN The Magazine's GridIron Blowout Tour just completed its fifth year visiting the largest college football rivalry games. Since its inception, The GridIron Blowout has provided an exciting and energetic atmosphere for fans to get pumped for the game. Traveling to these campuses is no average road trip! This tour has three incredibly branded vehicles to house the items required for the tour. But, while they house our assets, they provide incredible excitement for passer-byers and additional marketing for the ESPN GridIron brand.

Prior to our arrival, the scheduled campus is already buzzing with anticipation as 15 – 30 second commercials are run on popular radio stations in the area as well as ½ page advertisements that catch college readers eyes in their campus newspaper.

The GridIron tour is comprised of several assets including the stage, which is the centerpiece of our footprint, equipped with gaming kiosks, our SportsCenter desk, and the area where our live DJ and emcee perform. The footprint also includes, a massive viewing lounge outfitted with plush couches and LCD screens. Activities held within these areas may often include an obstacle course, a football goal kick, live spectator competitions hosted by our emcee and other sponsor specific activities that highlight their brand's attributes, provide sampling opportunities, and their support for college football! While excited college students and alumni get involved to assist in this tailgate, lucky fans experience a tailgate like no other! At the completion of the 2009 tour, we will have visited over 50 universities across the nation. To name a few key rivalries visited over the years: The Red River Rival Game with the University of Texas Longhorns vs. The Oklahoma University Sooners and The Biggest Cocktail Party The University of Georgia Bulldogs vs. The University of Florida Gators. We look forward to an amazing 2010!
