This was the third year that the X Games featured BMX Big Air. Riders headed down a 60-80-foot high roll-in, choosing to launch over a gap 50 or 70 feet long and continued into a 27-foot quarterpipe performing amazing tricks.

Superpark
SuperPark tested the rider's skills on different terrain. Riders tackled launch boxes, wall rides, sub boxes and rails, combining both big air and technical expertise.

Step Up
Step Up puts rider versus gravity. Each athlete launched off of a dirt launch box with the goal of clearing a crossbar set at different heights. The rider who cleared the highest crossbar won.

Speed & Style
Moto X Speed and Style was a new addition to the competition circuit of X Games 14. The combination of style and speed is a race between the two competitors, and eventually split up for a portion of the race. One rider does a speed section, and the other a freestyle portion. On the second lap they alternate.

Skateboard SuperPark- New to X Games, the Skate SuperPark is where competitors will be judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude (height of airs, length of grinds) and use of the ramp in the rough terrain of the park.
